JDI Youth Protection Program
The purpose of the JDI Youth Protection Program is to provide an environment to support the growth and safety of the young women in Job’s Daughters. To help create this environment, adult volunteers will be provided with a detailed Certified Adult Volunteer (CAV) Training and pass a screening process to help ensure the safety of our youth.
Upcoming CAV Classes – All Virtual
CAV Training has moved to a full schedule of virtual training and eliminated in-person classes. This will allow flexibility for potential volunteers, no more waiting long periods of time or traveling long distances for a class. To ease this change we have deployed a new scheduler program where a class can be chosen based on the timing needs of the attendee. Each aspiring volunteer simply enrolls themselves directly into the class that makes sense for their schedule. We do recognize there may be a rare need to for an in-person class in the future and those will be handled on an exception basis.
The online class scheduler can be located on the Job’s Daughters International website under the Youth Protection tab or directly at https://jobsdaughtersint.corsizio.com. Our virtual trainers are loading future classes into the tool periodically so check back often.

CAV On-Line Application/Renewal
As of September 15, 2019 – All CAV Applications and Renewals will be on-line ONLY.
Links for the CAV Manager FAQs, CAV 1st time instructions, and new CAV Renewal Instructions are listed below. This information is also available on the Supreme website.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Supreme office at 402-592-7987 or via e-mail at sgc@iojd.org.
REMINDER – CAV renewals should be RECEIVED by the Supreme Office at least 30 days prior to the CAV expiration date. The 30 days prior serve as a cushion for any problems that may arise (not received, incomplete, online system error, etc.). Volunteers who choose to renew after the 30 days are taking an inherent risk that their CAV may not be renewed if any problems are encountered.
CAV/JDI Youth Protection Program
November 1st Update – As a reminder, all Certified Adult Volunteers need to complete the California Mandated Training for Volunteers. If you haven’t completed the training, please do so as soon as possible. Supreme will continue to accept the certificates of completion for the required California Mandated Training over the next few days. The training can be found online at https://mandatedreporterca.com/training/volunteers.
Once you have completed the training, be sure to save the completion certificate that you receive at the end of the course and email it to the JDI Supreme office at the specific address: jobsdaughtersintoffice@gmail.com. Once you email the certificate, you will receive an acknowledgement email. If you do not receive the acknowledgement email, please contact the Supreme office.
November 1st – *Important* Letter from the Board of Trustees – Click to Read!
Please read the important update from the Supreme Board of Trustees which is linked above and note “Any California CAV who has still not completed the mandatory reporting class under California AB 506 by November 15, 2022, would be at risk of having their CAV suspended”.
There will be more discussion regarding this topic at Grand Council
Important CAV Changes for California – Need to complete by November 1, 2022
Letter from the BOT – July 24, 2022 – Click Here
California CAV Adults,
As you all may know, the California State Assembly passed a child protection bill known as Assembly Bill (AB) 506. All adults working with California Job’s Daughters will need to undergo a couple new steps to remain CAVs. For existing CAVs these steps will occur in two separate timeframes to get everyone caught up.
First, starting August 1, 2022 you can take the mandatory reporting class required under California AB 506. There is no charge for this one-time online and self-directed class. To begin this in an orderly manner, the BOT would like all existing CAV’s to take the class and send the completion form to the email address set up by November 1, 2022. The link to the class is below:
https://mandatedreporterca.com/training/volunteers
At the end of the class, you will receive a certificate of completion. Please save that completion certificate and email it to JDI Supreme office at the specific address below:
jobsdaughtersintoffice@gmail.com
Second, as required by California AB 506 , there will now be a fingerprint process everyone must go through. We are currently awaiting final instruction from the State of California about the proper method and paperwork for that process. Once we receive our state registration number and instructions then that process can begin. As soon as we are set to go, we will communicate the cost, details, and deadlines regarding this second step. Please do not try to jump ahead on this step, doing so might mean having to do this fingerprint step again.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our JDI YPP Director at the email below.
Sincerely,
Shelly Cole, 2021-2022 Chair, JDI Board of Trustees
Stephanie Lagerman, JDI YPP Director
